The best vulcanized rubber compounds on the market are used to make our genuine Tropic® strap. Our straps are incredibly comfortable and have the quality, finish and classic appearance that you would expect from a high-end strap since we use precisely handcrafted Italian molds with nearly zero tolerances to insure clean seems. No PFA chemicals, also referred to as Forever Chemicals, are present in our straps. All Tropic straps come with rounded lugs.

TROPIC® STRAP

The TROPIC® story rose to legend in the mid-1950s as explorers, divers, and outdoorsmen sought a sportier and more comfortable rubber band as an alternative to the traditional steel bracelets of the time. They found their answer in the super-soft, rubber, waterproof, and ultra-durable TROPIC® straps, which could be purchased as alternative OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) watch strap from authorized retailers of the most iconic sports watch manufacturers of the era.

THERE IS ONLY ONE GENUINE TROPIC®

In the 1950s, Tropic was the first Swiss Made strap to be used as an OEM alternative to the steel bracelet by many of the Swiss watch manufacturers, among them Rolex®, Omega®, Zodiac® and Aquastar® . TROPIC® was distributed in the US by BestFit, the company that gave it its signature blue packaging. The original Tropic was made by TROPIC STRAP and was signed "TROPIC", always carrying its name on the inside. TROPIC® was and still is a registered trademark, not a style, material or design feature, that gave it its name.

Fast forward to 2003, the TROPIC brand, all its assets and old strap stock, including ISOfrane straps, were acquired by Synchron.

The new TROPIC® offers one of the best dive watch straps (watch bands) made from the highest quality rubber compounds available for your sports and dive watch.
